G’day! My name is Chris and welcome to my site! I guess you’re wanting to find out a little more about me and what Simple Strength & Science is – sweet!

Since forever I’ve been obsessed with sport – all throughout school I participated in sport whenever I could; in P.E, during lunch, after school and weekends. As I got older I developed an appreciation for preparing for sport; training to get better and becoming a better athlete.

So I went and completed my Bachelors in Sport & Exercise Science, and simultaneously my Diploma in Fitness to work as Personal Trainer. Currently finishing my Masters in Strength & Conditioning out of Edith Cowan University.

Simple Strength and Science came about as I believe that strength is the most important characteristic humans can possess. Physical strength allows us to perform tasks pain free, reduces injury, increases performance in sport and allows the elderly to live a greater quality of life towards their later years. Physical strength also develops ‘mental strength’ – perseverance, patience, grit and a work ethic to get things done.

You don’t have to be a world class powerlifter or professional athlete to be strong. Anyone can have what I call ‘simple strength’ – the ability to carry all the bags of groceries, the ability to lift a box overhead without injury, running for the bus or just going for a hike.
